Small Sticks

This afternoon, the children were very fortunate to get out and have a go at playing hockey. The last two weeks the senior and middle school have been outside our classroom learning to play hockey. Room 6B spent a lot of time with their little faces smooshed up against the window, moaning "When can we play hockey..."

We pretended that our sticks had glue on the end as we dribbled the ball to the other end of the court.

In pairs we had to trap and hit the ball to our buddy. It was a bit tricky.

Cross Country

All our hard training has paid off, with the children all running a great race. It was a smidgy bit boring while we waited and we were very patient for a long time.
The boys raced first and proved that just like the tortoise slow and steady gets you in the top 50!
The Girls were next and even though they were told they could run their fastest and pass, we still managed to skip across the line holding hands. Don't you love it.

Hippity Hop

This is so cute, using the instruments with the poem last week.
