Skip Counting in 2's

Our ANZAC Cross

A very solemn line of Room 6B children walked around to the Memorial today as we took our cross, bearing the name of Private J. O'Carroll. We placed it into the ground and when everyone in the school completed this task there were 30 crosses, with the names of soldiers who did not return from the first World War.
The children have learnt so much this week and have written and created some inspiring work. Please pop into the classroom to see it.

Visiting Nurse Maude for ANZAC Day

What a wonderful experience taking our Recipe for Peace poems and our ANZAC biscuits to the Nurse Maude home. The children were even given afternoon tea!
It was very special watching children approach these amazing old people and give their work and biscuit to them. They were so brave introducing themselves and showing their work. We sang them See the Soldier (which is recorded on a previous blog). A very, very emotional experience.
