Carnivorous Plants
Mike came into see us and brought his amazing carnivorous plants. We watched as they trapped doosy flies. The plants were very quick to close over the fly once the triggers were set off. One of the plants had sticky tentacles and that is how it caught its prey. The other was a native of Florida in America and it was very long and shaped like a pitcher. The flies go in and can't get out.
Wow Mike you know so much, thanks for coming in and sharing.
Co2
A certain young lady was at the dinner table after this session and accidentally released a burp. Before she could be reprimanded and told to use her manners, she told the table that it was simply Co2 rising and trying to escape.
Spiders, co2 added to water and a bit of flavour and then ice cream fantastic!
Hokey, Pokey Yum Yum!
Love these faces, they tried citric acid, it was so funny to hear their comments about how sour it was.

Who Dunnit?????
Science Alive Forensics visited Elmwood School, Room 8 had to solve a mystery. Four friends had also been to the 3 bears house just before Goldilocks. Room 8 needed to find out who had really eaten the porridge and guess what, much to our surprise it was another friend called Ben. We had to look at a spill on the floor, a footprint, a note and also a small handprint. It was an amazing experience and the children loved every minute.
